Summary:
Since #MeToo, sexual harassment has been a hot topic. What should attorneys and employers do to ensure that they don’t harass, that they prevent harassment in their firms, and that they respond appropriately if it does happen? In this interactive session, we will focus on the practical aspects of managing post #MeToo. Aimed for employers and attorneys who advise employers in other matters.

Rita Makana Risser Chai, Attorney at Law

Rita Makana Risser Chai, a graduate of Berkeley Law, was admitted to practice in California in 1979, and in Hawaii in 2009. For 10 years she represented employees and employers in Silicon Valley in sexual and other illegal harassment cases. She taught employment law at the University of Santa Clara and the University of California Santa Cruz, and authored a book for Prentice Hall. She has presented more than 1,000 corporate training programs and CLE programs on bias awareness, anti-harassment, and legal compliance in 38 states. Her articles on best practice anti-harassment training have been published internationally.
